I really love not only the photos but the insightful commentary. I have viewed this series several times now and it never fails to amaze. The last photo, the little boy holding his sister is just incredible-a glowing smile in a sea of discord. Great work.

Admirably done!

Very moving documentation Marlon,

Once again you were able to capture the intensity of a world that is unknown to many of us.
Mixed emotions on the last image, children smiling in the midst of a tragic environment.
I am profoundly touched by the work you do and the risk you take!
I look forward to seeing more of your work!
Thank you.
Lula.

It really gives another dimension to your beautiful photos, to know the story behind them and the thoughts and emotions you were going through when you were there.

I really do believe that you have a special talent observing children and capturing their innocence...I saw that on your website as well, with the stunning shots of kids in Cuba, Turkey and China...
Bravo! Keep up the fantastic work, we're looking forward to an exhibition very soon with the "Island in the Stream" project I hope!

Thank you.

Marlon,

I've been following your work for some time. It was great to get inside your head a little and into your process. Strong photography. Thank you

Marlon,

There are some striking pictures here - and the writing and photography work well to give us the full experience of your journey. And... some of those photos - they just keep drawing us in. Really good work.

Sounds like quite an experience. That tension you discuss created by traveling with troops becomes obvious in the pics after reading the background you've given us - really very helpful and would love to see/hear more!.

This is amazing.

These shots are jaw-dropping. It is unbelievable how a person can risk his life to make such amazing work.

Amazing shots.

Each photo brings out an emotion and provides a direct portal into Haiti. Not every photographer can manage to keep focused when surrounded by war and poverty along with a people that don't want to be photographed. Very impressed.

Fantastic!

Great piece.

I was really interested to hear how traveling with the U.N. constrained/altered your ability to capture your subjects without being intrusive.

You've great some fantastic shots here. Looking forward to seeing more of your work.
