Indie Spotlight: Michael Oberman

This month we’re featuring Michael Oberman.
Michael is a former music columnist for the Washington Star, and has been involved in the music industry as a manager, a producer and a consultant.
A teacher of nature photography, Michael’s photos have appeared in books, magazines (including Parade), newspapers (including the London Daily Mirror) on web sites, on permanent display in U.S. National Parks, Museums and gallery exhibitions. He has lived in Columbia, MD for almost 10 years. He has spent the last five years documenting Columbia nature. 200,000 plus photographs later, he has captured close to 100 species of birds in Columbia.
When Michael isn’t shooting his camera, he shoots 8-Ball once a week in the American Poolplayers Association League. In 2003, he Co-captained a team that played for the National 8-Ball championship in Las Vegas.

When he is not acting or taking pictures, he enjoys reading, exploring the great outdoors, and spending time with friends.
