Ode To Autumn
Autumn is my favorite time of year. The weather cools a bit, football season and the World Series get underway, and nature puts up some of her most glorious displays. If you’re feeling in a bit of a creative slump as a photographer, there’s no better time to snap out of it than autumn. Grab your camera and just go for a walk. There are few simple pleasures I enjoy more than shuffling through fallen leaves and taking in that distinct fallen leaf smell. Add a glass of fresh apple cider or a cup of coffee to that, and I’m in heaven.
Fall has a wide spectrum of not only colors, but elements on its’ palette that should keep the nature photographer playing catch up right into the winter months. I searched Flickr for outstanding and inspiring fall photographs that brilliantly display just some of the wonder that’s ours to capture this time of year. Consider this my Ode to Autumn.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this tour through the many faces of autumn as much as I enjoyed compiling it, and hopefully you’ve found some inspiration along the way. Now get out there and show us your best shots!

Great collection! We also have a great selection of autumn photographs in our recent post, Autumn Splendor: http://www.freelancereview.net/autumn-splendor-50-beautiful-fall-photographs/
Thanks Chris! That’s a stunning collection to be sure! Such an inspiring time of year. :-)
I put a link to this page on my new blog here — http://www.afewreasonablewords.blogspot.com. I hope that’s OK. I posted the words to Keats Ode to Autumn, as well as a link to a site to listen to it read aloud, and I thought your photos would go perfectly.
Please let me know if you don’t approve, and I’ll remove it.
They are wonderful pictures.
